A high-brightness Fresnel screen for ultra-short-throw projector setups.
The Maxlight FR Fresnel screen is designed for ultra-short-throw projectors where strong ambient light rejection, high perceived brightness and a perfectly flat fixed-frame surface matter. Its multi-layer Fresnel optical structure focuses UST projector light from below while rejecting ambient light from above and the sides.
Designed specifically for ultra-short-throw projection
This Fresnel screen is intended for UST projector layouts where the projector sits below and close to the screen. It is not intended for standard or long-throw projector positions. Check the screen size, projector throw setup, wall load capacity and installation space carefully before ordering.
Fresnel optics for brighter, higher-contrast UST viewing.
The screen uses a semi-circular Fresnel optical structure that is receptive to projector light from below while rejecting ambient light from other directions. This helps preserve contrast, colour and image brightness in rooms where a plain matte white screen would look washed out.
- Multi-layer Fresnel optical screen design
- Rejects ambient light from the top and both sides
- Helps increase perceived image brightness with 1.3 gain
- Optimised for ultra-short-throw projector geometry
Fixed-frame flatness for accurate UST geometry.
UST projection is sensitive to surface waves and frame distortion. The FR screen uses a grade-A aluminium frame, dual supporting bar and metal spring clasp system to keep the projection surface flat and stable after installation.
- Fixed frame for stable screen geometry
- Grade-A aluminium frame construction
- Dual supporting bar to reduce structure distortion
- Metal spring clasps for an evenly tensioned screen surface
How the Fresnel structure works
The screen is tuned for light from a UST projector below the screen, while reducing the effect of ambient light from other directions.
Fresnel vs black grid vs matte white
Matte white screens do not reject ambient light. Black grid ALR screens are useful in dim rooms, while Fresnel screens are designed for stronger brightness and contrast in UST applications.
8-layer optical screen
The FR screen uses an 8-layer optical construction to support even, glare-controlled UST projection with stronger ambient-light resistance.
True colour performance
By reducing ambient-light interference, the screen helps your projector deliver stronger colour and contrast in day-to-day viewing.
8K, 3D and cinema use
The surface is suitable for modern home cinema projection, including high-resolution content and 3D-compatible setups where supported by the projector.
8 functional layers
The optical stack is designed to balance brightness, contrast, colour and ambient light rejection for UST projector use.
Super-slim, strong and durable.
The Maxlight FR frame uses a slim 11mm profile for a clean wall-mounted finish. Reinforced frame elements help keep the screen stable, while the supplied mounting hardware supports a secure fixed-frame installation.
- 11mm super-slim frame thickness
- Grade-A aluminium frame
- Wall load capacity requirement: above 40kg
- Available in 100″ and 120″ sizes

Grade-A aluminium frame
Lightweight, strong and durable frame construction for a clean fixed-frame installation.
Dual supporting bar
Reinforcement bars help reduce structural distortion and support long-term frame stability.
Metal spring clasp tensioning
The clasp system helps keep the screen surface evenly tensioned, which is especially important for UST projection geometry.

Box contents
The package contains the main fixed-frame Fresnel screen and the key assembly parts required for installation.
Choose Maxlight FR when brightness and UST geometry matter.
The Maxlight FR Fixed Frame Fresnel screen is best suited to ultra-short-throw projector installations where the screen needs to reject ambient light, preserve brightness and stay flat across the full projection surface. For the best result, use it with a compatible UST projector and check the screen size, wall strength and installation dimensions before ordering.
