RETURN POLICY

D&H Innovation Policies

Return and Refund Policy

This policy explains how returns, cancellations and refunds are handled by D&H Innovation. We do not sell products on a trial, testing or evaluation basis, but this policy does not affect your statutory rights.

Online cancellation Usually 14 days from receipt
Faulty goods Statutory rights apply
Return request Contact us before sending goods back

Your statutory rights

1.1

This policy is provided in accordance with applicable UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

1.2

If you are a consumer, you may have statutory rights where goods are faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied, not as described, not of satisfactory quality or not fit for purpose. Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or reduces those rights.

1.3

If there is any conflict between this policy and your statutory rights, your statutory rights will continue to apply.

Change-of-mind returns

2.1

If you are a consumer purchasing online, you may have the right to cancel your order within 14 days after receiving the goods, subject to the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and the exclusions set out in this policy.

2.2

To request a change-of-mind return, you must contact us within the cancellation period and wait for our return instructions before sending goods back.

2.3

Change-of-mind returns are only accepted where the goods are returned complete, unused, undamaged and in as-new condition, with all accessories, manuals, cables, remote controls, free gifts and original packaging.

We do not sell products on a trial, testing or evaluation basis. Please do not purchase a product for the purpose of testing or evaluation and then seek to return it as a change-of-mind return.

No trial, testing or evaluation use

3.1

Our products are not supplied for temporary use, trial, testing, demonstration or evaluation unless we have specifically agreed this with you in writing before purchase.

3.2

If you need to test or evaluate a product before purchase, please contact us before placing an order. Where available, we may be able to discuss a demonstration, sample unit or evaluation arrangement separately.

3.3

You may inspect goods in the way you would reasonably be able to inspect them in a shop. However, you must not install, use, mount, calibrate, test-run, register, modify, damage or otherwise handle the goods beyond what is necessary to inspect their nature, characteristics and basic function.

3.4

If goods have been used, installed, marked, damaged, registered, modified, assembled, mounted, calibrated or handled beyond what is necessary for reasonable inspection, we may refuse the change-of-mind return or make a deduction from any refund, up to the full value of the goods, to reflect any reduction in value, where permitted by law.

Condition of returned goods

Unless the goods are faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or not as described, returned goods must meet the following conditions:

  • The product must be complete and returned with all accessories, manuals, cables, remote controls, mounting parts, packaging inserts, free gifts and promotional items.
  • The product must be unused, undamaged and in as-new resaleable condition.
  • The original box and packaging must be returned and must not be damaged beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect the goods.
  • All serial numbers, rating labels, warranty labels and product identification must remain intact, unaltered and readable.
  • Any free gift or promotional item supplied with the product must be returned. If it is not returned, we may deduct its value from your refund.
  • Proof of purchase must be provided for all returns.

For large, specialist or fragile items such as projector screens, projectors and UST cabinets, please keep the original packaging until you are satisfied that the product is suitable and working correctly. Without suitable packaging, safe return transport may not be possible.

Items excluded from change-of-mind returns

5.1

Some products may not be eligible for cancellation or return for change of mind where an applicable legal exemption applies.

5.2

Bespoke, customised, made-to-order, made-to-measure, personalised, specially configured, specially ordered or non-standard products may not be eligible for cancellation or return for change of mind where the item is made to your specification or otherwise falls within an applicable legal exemption.

5.3

This includes, but is not limited to, custom colours, custom finishes, custom cabinet sizes, custom screen specifications, custom shapes, special configurations or any other specification agreed outside the standard product listing.

5.4

Software, digital media, memory cards, DVDs, sealed media and similar products can only be returned for change of mind if they remain sealed, unless they are faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or not as described.

This section does not affect your statutory rights if goods are faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied, not as described, not of satisfactory quality or not fit for purpose.

How to request a return

6.1

Before returning any goods, please contact our Customer Services team. Do not send goods back before we have confirmed the return instructions.

6.2

You can request a return by visiting our Contact Us page, emailing us at customerservice@dhinnovation.co.uk, or calling us on +44 (0)1382 792588.

6.3

Please provide your order number, proof of purchase, product model, reason for return, photos of the product and packaging where relevant, and any other information we reasonably need to process your return request.

6.4

All authorised returns should be sent to D&H General Trading Ltd, Unit 14 Discovery House, Gemini Crescent, Dundee, DD2 1SW, United Kingdom, unless we provide a different return address or service route in writing.

Return shipping and responsibility

7.1

If you cancel an order after the goods have been dispatched and the goods are not faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or not as described, you are responsible for returning the goods to us at your own cost and risk.

7.2

We strongly recommend using an insured and trackable delivery service. You are responsible for ensuring that returned goods are packed securely and arrive safely.

7.3

For large, heavy, fragile or specialist items, please contact us before arranging return transport. If a courier collection is required, we may be able to help arrange this, but any agreed collection charge for a change-of-mind return will normally be your responsibility.

7.4

If goods are returned without approval, without suitable packaging, to the wrong address, or using an unsuitable courier, this may delay your refund or result in the goods being returned to you.

Faulty, damaged, incorrect or not-as-described goods

8.1

If goods are faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied, not as described, not of satisfactory quality or not fit for purpose, please contact us as soon as possible and provide details of the issue.

8.2

If a fault is reported within 30 days of delivery, you may have the short-term right to reject the goods for a refund, subject to the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and any applicable legal requirements.

8.3

If a fault is reported after 30 days but within the first six months after delivery, we may offer a repair or replacement in the first instance, unless another remedy is required by law.

8.4

After six months, you may be required to show that the fault was present or developing at the time of delivery, unless the law provides otherwise.

8.5

We reserve the right to inspect returned goods and verify the reported fault. If inspection shows that the goods are not faulty or that the issue was caused by accident, neglect, misuse, incorrect installation, unauthorised repair, unsuitable accessories, normal wear and tear or damage after delivery, the return may be refused or handled as a chargeable repair or return where permitted by law.

8.6

If goods are confirmed as faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or not as described, we will provide reasonable return instructions and will be responsible for reasonable return costs where required by law. Please do not arrange your own return at our cost unless we have agreed this in advance.

Refunds

9.1

Where a refund is due, refunds will normally be processed within 14 days after we receive the returned goods or, where applicable, after you provide evidence that the goods have been sent back to us.

9.2

Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method, unless we agree otherwise or are unable to do so for technical reasons.

9.3

For cancelled orders where cancellation rights apply and the goods are not faulty, we will refund the price paid for the goods and the standard delivery charge originally paid, if any. We will not refund any additional cost arising from your choice of a premium, enhanced or non-standard delivery service.

9.4

If goods are returned incomplete, used, damaged, marked, missing accessories, missing packaging, or handled beyond what is necessary for reasonable inspection, we may make a deduction from any refund, up to the full value of the goods, to reflect any reduction in value, where permitted by law.

Exchange, replacement and repairs

10.1

Where goods are faulty or otherwise covered by your statutory rights or warranty, we may offer a repair, replacement, exchange, refund or price reduction depending on the circumstances, the age of the product, the nature of the issue and the remedies required by law.

10.2

Replacement goods are normally sent using a standard delivery service. Premium or enhanced delivery services may not be available for replacement shipments unless agreed separately.
