Product Warranty
This page explains how product warranty claims are handled by D&H Innovation. Warranty support is separate from, and does not reduce, your statutory rights as a consumer.
Warranty provider and scope
D&H Innovation is the trading name of D&H General Trading Ltd, a company registered in Scotland under company number SC466221. Our office address is Unit 14 Discovery House, Gemini Crescent, Dundee, DD2 1SW, United Kingdom.
Unless a different warranty period is stated on the product page, invoice, manufacturer documentation or written order confirmation, products supplied by D&H Innovation are covered by a 12-month limited hardware warranty from the date of purchase.
Some products may also include a manufacturer warranty, an extended manufacturer warranty, or a warranty handled directly by the manufacturer or authorised service centre. Where this applies, the relevant manufacturer warranty terms may also apply in addition to this policy.
This warranty covers manufacturing defects in the hardware product under normal use. It does not cover every fault, issue, accident, compatibility issue, consumable part, installation issue or wear-and-tear item.
This warranty does not affect your statutory rights. If goods are faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied, not as described, not of satisfactory quality or not fit for purpose, you may have rights under applicable consumer law regardless of this warranty policy.
Proof of purchase and product identification
Warranty service will only be considered where you can provide a valid proof of purchase, such as the original invoice, order confirmation or sales receipt showing the purchase date, product model and order details.
We may refuse free warranty service if the proof of purchase is not provided, is incomplete, is illegible, or does not allow us to verify the purchase.
This warranty may not apply if the product model name, serial number, rating label or other product identification has been altered, removed, deleted, damaged or made illegible.
Before sending a product for warranty service
You are responsible for backing up and removing personal data, files, passwords, accounts, settings and removable storage before sending a product to us or to a service centre.
Please remove memory cards, USB drives, discs, batteries, cases, mounts, cables or other accessories unless we specifically ask you to include them.
You must pack the product securely and appropriately for transport. We recommend using the original packaging where possible.
Please do not send a product back before we have confirmed the return or warranty service instructions.
D&H Innovation is not responsible for loss of data, software, removable storage media, accessories or personal settings that are not removed before the product is submitted for warranty service, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.
What the warranty does not cover
This warranty does not cover faults, damage or issues caused by any of the following:
- Normal wear and tear, cosmetic wear, ageing, deterioration or periodic maintenance.
- Consumable items or parts expected to require replacement during the product’s life, including non-rechargeable batteries, lamps, bulbs, filters, print cartridges, styli, remote-control batteries and similar items.
- Accidental damage, impact damage, drops, scratches, cracked casing, broken screens, liquid damage, chemical exposure or contamination.
- Misuse, neglect, careless handling, improper storage, abnormal use or use outside the product’s intended purpose.
- Failure to install, operate, use, transport, store or maintain the product in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Incorrect installation, incorrect setup, unsuitable mounting, unsuitable room conditions, unsuitable ventilation, overheating or blocked ventilation.
- Power surges, incorrect voltage, unstable power supply, lightning, static discharge, electrical damage or use with unsuitable power equipment.
- Use with unsuitable accessories, cables, mounts, batteries, chargers, software, apps, peripheral equipment or third-party products.
- Damage caused by unauthorised repair, attempted repair, modification, adaptation, dismantling or installation by a person not authorised by D&H Innovation or the manufacturer.
- Virus infection, corrupted software, incorrectly installed software, unsupported software, user-installed software or third-party software issues.
- Compatibility issues with third-party equipment, software, apps, operating systems, networks, streaming services, control systems or accessories unless compatibility was expressly confirmed in writing before purchase.
- Fire, flood, excessive heat, excessive humidity, vibration, dust, radiation, environmental conditions, external forces or other causes outside normal use.
Hardware, software and data
This warranty covers eligible hardware manufacturing defects only. It does not cover software, apps, firmware, operating systems, cloud services, user accounts, streaming services or third-party services, unless specifically stated by the manufacturer or required by law.
Where software, firmware, drivers or apps are supplied with a product, they may be subject to separate licence terms, end-user licence agreements, manufacturer warranty terms or software support policies.
Warranty inspection, repair or replacement may result in data loss or reset of the product. You should back up and remove all data before sending any item for inspection or service.
Warranty remedies
If a valid warranty claim is accepted, we may arrange inspection, repair, replacement, parts replacement, manufacturer service or another appropriate remedy depending on the product, fault, manufacturer process and availability of parts.
Repairs may be carried out by D&H Innovation, the manufacturer, a distributor, an authorised service centre or another appointed repair partner. Where available, a service report may be provided after inspection or repair.
Replacement products or replacement parts may be new, refurbished, equivalent or functionally comparable, unless a different remedy is required by law. Any replacement product or part will continue to be covered for the remainder of the original warranty period, unless otherwise stated by the manufacturer or required by law.
If inspection shows that the issue is not covered by warranty, we will explain the outcome and, where possible, advise the available repair, return or replacement options. Any chargeable repair or return cost will be confirmed before chargeable work is carried out.
How to make a warranty claim
If you believe your product has developed a fault within the warranty period, please contact us through our Contact Us page before sending the product back.
Please provide your order number, proof of purchase, product model, serial number where available, a clear description of the fault, and any photos or videos that help show the issue.
We may ask you to complete basic troubleshooting steps before approving a warranty return. This helps confirm whether the issue is a product fault, setup issue, compatibility issue, installation issue or user-serviceable problem.
If a warranty return is approved, we will provide return instructions and confirm the address or service route to use. Please do not send the product to us or to any service centre until we have confirmed the return instructions.

Delivery, collection and return costs
Where a warranty claim is accepted and the fault is covered by this warranty, we will advise the appropriate repair or service route. Depending on the product, this may involve returning the item to us, to the manufacturer, to a distributor or to an authorised service centre.
For products that are confirmed as faulty and covered by warranty, reasonable return or onward service arrangements will be handled in accordance with applicable law, the manufacturer’s service process and the instructions we provide.
If a product is returned without approval, is found not to be faulty, is damaged by misuse or accidental damage, or is otherwise not covered by warranty, you may be responsible for return shipping, inspection, handling or repair costs where permitted by law. We will advise you before any chargeable repair work is carried out.
Exclusions and limitation of warranty
Except as set out in this policy, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, D&H Innovation does not provide any additional warranty regarding product performance, compatibility, software, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted use, business use or suitability for a specific installation environment.
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, D&H Innovation will not be liable under this warranty for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of business, loss of goodwill, loss of anticipated savings, loss of data, loss of software, loss of enjoyment, business interruption or downtime.
If you are a business customer, our liability under this warranty shall be limited to the price paid for the product giving rise to the claim, except where liability cannot be limited by law. If you are a consumer, this limitation does not affect your statutory rights.
Your statutory rights are reserved
Consumers have statutory rights under applicable consumer law, including rights relating to goods that are faulty, not as described, not of satisfactory quality or not fit for purpose. This warranty is provided in addition to those rights and does not replace, restrict or reduce them.
If there is any conflict between this warranty policy and your statutory rights, your statutory rights will continue to apply.
