Recessed in-ceiling motorised tension screen for ultra short throw projectors
Vividstorm Phantom Recessed In-Ceiling UST ALR is designed for home cinema rooms where the screen should disappear completely when not in use. The screen housing is concealed inside the ceiling, while the ALR Black Grid material is built for ultra short throw laser projectors.
Hidden ceiling design
The screen case is recessed into the ceiling for a clean, architectural look when the screen is retracted.
UST ALR material
Black Grid ALR material is designed to work with ultra short throw projector light paths and improve perceived contrast.
Motorised operation
The screen lowers for viewing and retracts back into the ceiling housing when the room returns to everyday use.
Tab-tensioned surface
The tab-tensioned structure helps keep the screen surface flatter for a cleaner projected image.
A clean in-ceiling solution for new-build and renovation cinema rooms
Phantom is ideal when you want a high-performance UST ALR screen without a visible wall-mounted casing. It is especially suited to new-build projects, renovation cinema rooms, media rooms and living spaces where the screen should stay hidden until needed.
- Designed specifically for ultra short throw laser projectors.
- Concealed recessed in-ceiling housing for a clean installation.
- ALR Black Grid material helps improve perceived contrast in rooms with light present.
- Motorised screen operation keeps daily use simple and tidy.
- Tab-tensioned screen construction supports a flatter projection surface.
Dedicated to UST projectors only
This Phantom UST ALR version is designed for ultra short throw projectors. It is not suitable for standard throw or long throw projectors because the screen material is engineered for the steep projection angle of UST laser projectors.
- Suitable for ultra short throw projector setups.
- Recommended for projectors with rated brightness over 1800 ANSI lumens.
- Front projection only.
- Not compatible with standard throw or long throw projectors.
Designed for a concealed ceiling finish
The recessed ceiling format keeps the screen housing hidden, making it a strong option for premium rooms where a visible screen casing is not preferred.
Black or white casing options
Phantom UST ALR is available with black or white casing options, allowing the screen housing and access panel to better match the ceiling and room design.
Screen size and recessed casing dimensions
Please check the manufacturer size chart carefully before ordering. For recessed in-ceiling products, ceiling opening size, casing clearance, ceiling structure and final projector position should be confirmed before production.
What’s included in the box
The screen is supplied with the essential controls and accessories for normal installation and operation.
Planning a recessed ceiling screen installation?
Recessed in-ceiling screens need more planning than standard wall-mounted screens. D&H Innovation can help confirm projector type, screen size, ceiling opening, room layout and installation suitability before the screen is ordered.
